Holi-daze

Finding it hard to get into the work. Things a bit slow around the holidays.

But, Christmas was excellent. Harrison and Allyson had a great time playing and opening presents and playing some more. And, we got some more time with Emily, too. I miss being in CHS but also enjoy being "removed" from it all, too. No work politics (fewer work politics?). Less annoyance with other things/people/family. It's not easy to do all this moving and changing, but it somehow works out.

Oh, and got renters in the Leland house! Woooooo!

Ms. Emily Frances...

...we are still waiting. We are all terribly excited to be getting a new niece/cousin from Aunt Leslie and Uncle Reed. Leslie's due Tuesday, 11/17 and we just can't wait! Mostly, b/c this time around, I get to be an aunt and sister while Jon takes Harrison for a week or two. Looking forward to it all.

Otherwise, same old same old. Not really.

We've been through a lot this year. Jon got a new job with Westinghouse, and now we're making a home sweet home in Charlotte. But, with our house still on the market in Wilmington, still plenty to stress about. The plus side is Jon is loving the job and now a functional lead on his team (in less than a year!). And, I still get to work from home for BF. Challenging all the same.

I'll keep trying to post but with all the big goings on, don't count on it!

Feeling Old

I just turned 28. Ugh. I don't know why I'm starting to feel old...maybe b/c I feel like I should. But, still lots of time to do lots of stuff. I need to just shake it off.

On a positive note, all my GI stuff came back fine. I guess stress and sugar-free gum was causing some pretty ridiculous stomach issues. Things have been going well nearly 2 months. Yay!

And, we'll be moving to Charlotte one of these days. Jon has a start date and the house is on the market. Wow. SO NOT READY! But, we're excited to get into a new and bigger city.

My First Post

Good afternoon, all!

I'm bored. A little. My VPN is pissing me off...cannot connect. ANNOYING!

In some lighter news, just had a visit from Leslie, Reed & Allyson. A weekend of two toddlers playing and wearing us out. It was nice to visit and just hang out. Yummy food and a lot of "Aunt Lili?" from my most precious niece ever!

Jon is sick. Just a cold, but you know how "they" can be...it's the end of the world as we know it...

Oh, and, liquid diet started today. It's not really something I would choose to do if it weren't for the colonoscopy tomorrow. I'm hungry. A little. Had 2 liters of water and a liter of Gatorade. Working on my lunch of more Jell-o and some chicken broth. Oh, wait, I just realized, I can have popsicles, too! But, it's friggin' cold in here...
