Zen Super Boot Camp

Once upon a FaceBooking session, I discovered EVERYONE is all about 2010. Apparently, 2009 sucked ass for most of the 350 "friends" I have. And, I got to thinking, wtf is going to be so different or so great about MY 2010?

In light of seeing how negative this thinking was upon celebrating the start of a new year and decade, I decided my year can be kick-ass, too. This is the year before I turn 30. This is the year before we celebrate 10 years of marriage (yes, I'm sure we'll make it until then). This is the year before my "baby" starts any kind of public school. This is the year we plan to live in the same house, in the same city EVERY day together as our family of 3 (no more traveling, please, Jon). So, in anticipation of all the good things to come, I decided I have to make things happen this year to keep everything on track.

#1: Zen Super Boot Camp - yep, I signed up and go for my information session on Saturday. We'll see how much this is going to cost, but if I actually do it, it'll be the first thing I've done for myself, by myself in a long time. Feels a little selfish, but I'm being assured it's a good thing. Getting out of the house and in a more healthy mindset and losing some weight can't really be bad.

#2: Seriously look at taking a class of some kind - the whole going back to school thing scares the bejesus out of me. I did it once & left 1/2 way thru. Finished my bachelors a few years later and loved every second of my 4.0. My hesitance is what to pursue...get a masters in something I really love and still not be able to find a job to sustain paying for said masters OR get a second bachelors in something like CS or IS to open more doors and make more money. Right now, the obvious choice is B. So, maybe a class to make sure I'll like going the technical route (although I've been working in a technology/software company for 3 years).

#3: More to come...the first 2 are quite big, yes?

Life has to keep moving and I have to have to make it happen. Luck has very little to do with success.
